Multan Sultans have won the 28th match of the Pakistan Super League by 80 runs against Lahore Qalandars. Multan Sultans batted first and set Lahore Qalandars a target of 170 runs in pursuit of which Qalandars could not even cross the 100-figure and the entire team returned to the pavilion for just 89 in 15 overs.

Sultans’ Shahnawaz Dhani was named Man of the Match with five runs in three overs and four wickets. Multan’s Imran Khan dismissed three players while Mazrabbani took two wickets and Imran Tahir took one wicket.

In the 28th match of PSL 6 played in Abu Dhabi, Qalandars won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat first, on which Sultans scored 169 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Multan Sultans batsman Shan Masood faced lbw on the first ball and returned to the pavilion without scoring a run. With the slow run rate and successive wickets falling in the beginning, it seemed that Multan Sultans would not score enough, but the responsible batting of Saheb Maqsood and Sohail Tanveer took the Sultans’ total to 169.

Saheb Maqsood was prominent with 60 runs while Sohail Tanveer remained not out with 26 runs. Riley Rousseau (29), skipper Mohammad Rizwan (15), Johns Charles (10), Khusdal Shah (6) and Imran Tahir (4) were all out for 4.
