He was suspended and sent out of the bio-bubble. He did not participate in any match of the event but the anti-corruption unit was suspicious on some issues due to which action was taken against him.
Sources said that after his arrival in Abu Dhabi, Sandy completed his quarantine and then attended a lecture by the Anti-Corruption Unit, where he was shown pictures of the suspects and instructed to stay away from them. Sandy has been in contact with a man and sponsored his BAT, but he had not previously informed anti-corruption officials about it, so action was taken against him.
It may be recalled that many Pakistani cricketers are also participating in the event. The PCB is also aware of the recent incident and is keeping an eye on the situation.
The Maratha Arabs have already been knocked out of the play-offs and will play their last match against the Deccan Gladiators on Thursday, when T10 League officials were contacted in Abu Dhabi to take a stand on the issue. Asked to reply which was not received till last night.
